Kangta says H.O.T was More Superior than EXO

While EXO might be the new big thing in recent times, Kangta noted that H.O.T was definitely more popular than EXO back in the day.

On July 19’s broadcast of MBC’s I Live Alone, Kangta reminisced about his past idol days, remembering all of the fans who used to chase him around.

As he pulled up to SM Entertainment’s headquarters, he had a moment of embarrassment when none of the fans waiting outside greeted him, only to scream loudly for EXO, who later entered the building.

For his rookie juniors, he bought them all pizza, which the EXO members gladly accepted.

During an interview later on, Kangta admitted that he felt a bit small with the lack of fans, which was why he bought EXO pizza.

“H.O.T was part of the offline era, so fans had to come to see our faces,” explained Kangta. “If I have to compare from then and now, I can say that H.O.T was definitely more superior.”

Just as Kangta said, back in the late 90s, H.O.T fans filled in the majority of the seats at concerts, especially the Dream Concerts.

In 1996, with 70,000 seats all filled up (all by H.O.T fans), screens were set up outside of the stadium to accompany fans who weren’t able to enter.
