Jang Woo Hyuk sets out to find the next big stars with a new audition concept

Singer Jang Woo Hyuk
is drawing interest for his new audition concept, titled “Jang Woo Hyuk
is coming to you,” where he personally sets out to find the next big
star.
On March 28th, Jang Woo Hyuk’s agency WH Entertainment
revealed that in order to find people with talent and passion who have
the potential to become the next big stars, Jang Woo Hyuk will
personally tour the cities in the various Korean provinces to hold
auditions.
The purpose of this audition concept is to give opportunities to
talented and passionate people who live far from the cities a chance to
participate in an audition, and become the next big star.
Jang Woo Hyuk revealed, “The young Jang Woo Hyuk who lived in
Gumi in the North Gyeongsang province and dreamed of becoming a star was
able to become the Jang Woo Hyuk I am today because my talents happened
to be recognized at a contest I attended. I want to create an
opportunity for people who have talent, but they can’t make it to the
auditions because they’re too far away because they live in the country
side. I want to give them a chance to live out their dreams.”
The first stop in the touring audition will take place on March 31 in
Cheongju, which is in the North Chungcheong province. The second stop
will be on April 21st in Gwangju, which is in South Jeolla province.
Jang Woo Hyuk, in addition to his new drama, is currently working on
his project to find the next big stars to groom and develop them into
world-famous idols.

Tony An performs H.O.T’s “Candy” on ‘Sketchbook’

Former H.O.T member and business man Tony An put on a surprise performance of “Candy” on Yoo Hee Yeol‘s ‘Sketchbook‘.
On the ‘Youth Night’ special of ‘Sketchbook’ that aired on March 23rd, Tony and his group, Tony&SM☆SH stood on stage for a very special performance.
The boys put on a perfect rendition of H.O.T’s hit song “Candy”, dressed in the classic hats and gloves, causing some older audience members and viewers to become nostalgic.
Tony proved that not only did he have that same vocal strength and stage presence, his youthful image hadn’t changed a bit since 16 years ago.

‘Secret Angel’ starring Jang Woo Hyuk ropes in 1.2 million viewers on its first day
‘Secret Angel‘ starring Jang Woo Hyuk has roped in 1.2 million viewers in one day!
Jang Woo Hyuk’s agency stated on the 23rd that the first episode of the Chinese drama drew in over a million viewers in one day setting a new record. ‘Secret Angel’ premiered on the 21st, and will continue to release episodes weekly through the website Sohu.
Fans who saw the drama commented, “As expected, Hallyu star Jang Woo Hyuk’s strength. Jang Woo Hyuk, who shows charisma and humor at once, is the best!” and “Jang Woo Hyuk just works out in China. The drama is as entertaining as I thought it would be.”
Jang Woo Hyuk himself also had something to say about the popularity of the drama, “Hearing that 1.2 million viewed in one day really reminds me that China is a big land. I’ll be happy if people could have fun watching it as I had working hard filming. The director, staff, Kim So Eun, Chen Xiang, Girls Day‘s Yura, and all the other actors worked very very hard. Please have fun watching ‘Secret Angel’.”
The star, who plays a dark charismatic part in the drama, is reported to have gone on a diet to develop ab muscles for his role showing his passion for the project. ‘Secret Angel’ is being broadcast in 27 provinces and through digital television on Sohu.com on Wednesday’s at 1PM KST.

As reported earlier, Singer Jang Woo Hyuk has been training to tone up his abs for his new Chinese drama, ‘Secret Angel’.
On March 22nd, Jang Woo Hyuk shared the above photo via his personal me2day page and wrote, “Finally finished filming ‘Secret Angel‘. Director, staff members, Kim So Eun, Chen Xiang, Yura and the rest of the actors and actresses, thank you for all of your hard work.”
“I have been watching what I have been eating and working out a lot for the last scene,” he added. “I am hoping for good results.”
In the photo, Jang Woo Hyuk is working out with his trainer, and fans took note of his muscular, toned body and defined abs.
“His abs were that defined?” they asked, and also wrote, “You worked so hard“, as well as “Your abs are daebak.”
In related news, Jang Woo Hyuk wrapped up the last film shoot for his Chinese drama ‘Secret Angel’ which will begin airing every Wednesday.

Singer Tony‘s picture showing his everlasting youth has been drawing attention.
On March 22nd, a netizen uploaded on an online community forum a comparison picture of the former idol along with the title ‘Tony An has not changed in 16 years. He’s like a vampire.’
The two pictures both show Tony dressed in his stage outfit for H.O.T‘s hit song “Candy”, but it is hard to tell which one is the old one and which one is recent. Tony took the more recent picture when he performed “Candy” on KBS ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketch Book’ with the members of SMASH.
Netizens were amazed by how Tony barely changed in 16 years, and have compared his lasting youth to that of a vampire with immortality.
They responded to the picture saying, “Is he using a some kind of preservative?” and “I can’t see what changed at all.”
