Who will be the next top male group in K-pop? (H.O.T Mention)

I Know this is a little irrelevant but i put this because H.O.T is mention ^^

In 1996, 5-member idol group H.O.T debuted, and eight years later in 2004, 5-member group TVXQ stepped into the music scene. Now, another eight years have past.
Kang Tae Gyu, a mass media critic, commented, “Everyone is watching to see if the ’8-year cycle for male idols’ will come true. According to the theory, starting in 2012 a new top male idol group will appear.”
Several entertainment companies have debuted new boy bands this year. The creators of HOT and TVXQ, SM Entertainment, debuted 12-member group EXO, who are promoting in both China and Korea simultaneously. SECRET‘s company, TS Entertainment, debuted B.A.P in January, and the group has constantly released singles, keeping in close contact with fans. Cube Entertainment has also debuted B2B, while Pledis Entetainment debuted NU’EST.
These groups did not fail in face of all the hype. EXO has received much love from China as B.A.P has been noticed from before their debut for their strong performance. They have been gaining popularity in Europe and other countries as well. Also, B2B and NU’EST have become spokespersons for teens.
There are those who believe the next top idol group has yet to debut. With more acts set to debut throughout the year, no one can be sure of who will turn out on top. DJ DOC‘s Kim Chang Ryeol has announced he will be debuting a new DJ DOC, Wonder Boys, gaining much interest. Another 5-member band gearing up to debut in October, reported to rival H.O.T and TVXQ, also has great musical abilities. They have already been signed for CFs and have been gaining popularity overseas.
In order to rise to the top, the group must be able to attract a large, mixed fan base. H.O.T and TVXQ attracted female fans in their teens and twenties. With amazing performances, both groups remained ‘the best’. First generation idols, H.O.T, also gained immense popularity in China, while second generation idol, TVXQ, took over Japan and other Asian countries.
Though there have been many male idol groups to debut and gain popularity, not one has achieved the star power of H.O.T and TVXQ. One insider remarked, “Every time H.O.T members speak of getting back together, it becomes a hot topic. I am excited to see the new stars who will overcome Big Bang, Super Junior, etc., and bring a new era to K-pop.
Who do you think will be the next top male group in K-pop?

Way Back Wednesday: 10 Year Reunion, K-Pop Hits from 2002

Last week I came down with one of those summer colds and was pretty much was stuck in bed for a few days. Whenever I’m sick, I have this routine of ordering Chinese food and watching movies all day and this time was no exception. I downloaded a bunch of movies and one of them happened to be ‘American Reunion‘ which is the fourth movie in the ‘American Pie‘ series. The movie wasn’t very good (although I admit, Stifler cracks me up) but it got me in a nostalgic mood as I started thinking about high school and how even I was young once. With that in mind, today on WBW, we’ll throw a ten year reunion. We’ll take a look at some of the big songs from 2002 that were lighting up the charts. So in the words of Stifler, “Let’s make this reunion our b*tch” (ear muffs for the young kids).
"I Omitted the other information"

JTL – A Better Day

JTL was the group formed by former H.O.T members Jang Woo Hyuk, Tony An, and Lee Jae Won following the disbandment of H.O.T and a nasty break-up with SM Entertainment. The newly formed group’s first album ‘Enter the Dragon‘ was highly anticipated and this was their first single which went on to become a huge hit reaching the top spot in February. Everyone, and I mean everyone was waiting for this release, and the song was pretty good but the group’s success was limited. They released three albums before going their separate ways and pursuing solo careers. I know talks of an H.O.T reunion have been going on for some time now, but hopefully everyone can bury the hatchet because it would be one of the biggest shows in K-pop history.

A better day JTL 2003 live concert

Tony An, "FIN.K.L Bread Was Originally H.O.T's

Singer Tony An revealed the incident about 'Fin.K.L bread'.
In MBC "Radio Star" aired today, Tony An came out as a guest and showed off his witty ways with words.
On this day, Tony stated, "H.O.T was first offered for the bread, but the concept was one of the members wearing a bread constume and going into the oven."
He continued, "But our image back then was charisma and 'descendants of warriors', so wearing a bread outfit was too much. The pay rate for the advertisement was really high, and we tried asking Moon Hee Joon because he fit the most with it, he said 'I really can't do it', so we didn't do it."
