Tony An shows his bare face for the 1st time on public broadcast
For the first time ever on national television, Tony An was spotted barefaced, effectively shedding himself of the untouchable prince image.
On MBC Everyone‘s ‘Death Camp 24 Hours,’ to the delight of many fans, Tony would not let his passion for variety programs waver. He opted to be filmed with no makeup in order to produce a 100% reality situation to survive the death camp. The comfortable and natural image is definitely a first for the legend and showed a much more personable side of him.
Tony commented, “This is the hardest program I’ve ever had to be on, but even still, I find myself excitedly anticipating the next filming.”

Former H.O.T member Tony An is the newest celebrity to adopt a puppy!
The singer recently shared new photos via his Twitter page and wrote, “I have a new addition to my family. I have here a 2-month old Pekingese, my first puppy since Edward&Kids. I haven’t named it yet, feel free to share your ideas ^^ Goodnight”
In the photos, a casually-dressed Tony An holds his new puppy in his hands. The all-white Pekingese puppy is so small, it fit into just one of Tony’s hands.
Netizens who saw the photo remarked, “So cute!”, “Is it a boy or a girl?”, and “How about you name in Popcorn?”.

Tony An thanks his fans with a… snowboarding photo?
On October 17th, Tony An uploaded a photoshopped photo above via his official Twitter page and wrote, “Thank you all for congratulating me on my 7th anniversary of becoming a soloist. I honestly didn’t think I would make it this far, but I’m so happy to know that I have all of your support. I promise to work harder.”
The photo he uploaded is of a professional snowboarder, however, Tony hilariously edited the photo with his own face, making him look like the skillful athlete. His Twitter followers commented, “You’re so funny“, “This just made my week“, “Seven years already? Time flies“, “Do you really snowboard?“, etc.
As fans know, after the disbandment of H.O.T in May 2001, Tony An formed JTL with Jang Woo Hyuk & Lee Jae Won, then debuted as a soloist with “Believe” in October of 2004. It’s great to see that, even a decade after H.O.T’s disbandment, Tony An’s fans have remained loyal and supportive.

Cable channel SBSPlus will be airing a new survival program called ‘Comeback Show Top 10‘. The show will invite the old school ‘Gayo Top 10‘ idol groups of the 90′s and give them a chance to reunite, as well as a chance to make a comeback.
The mastermind behind the new show is none other than PD Kim Jong Jin who has also directed “Joyful Saturday“, and “Your Inkigayo“.
Detailed information regarding their filming schedule as well as the show’s cast members have not yet been revealed, however, it has been confirmed that they have just finished their first shoot. Staff members also announced that former Seo Taiji & Boys member Lee Juno & group Goofy have already been confirmed for the show. They’re also in the process of contacting stars such as H.O.T, Sechs Kies & S.E.S.
Netizens showed a lot of interest in the program once they heard the news, especially in the potential reunion of artists such as Seo Taiji & Boys, Goofy, and R.ef. The first episode of ‘Comeback Show Top 10′ airs on November 16th, and will be hosted by comedian Park Myungsoo and actress Lee Bon.

Tony An hosts MBC’s brand new show, ‘Death Camp 24 Hours’
Old school idol Tony An is taking his first big step into reality variety shows: he’s been chosen to be the MC for MBC‘s ‘Death Camp 24 Hours‘!
‘Death Camp 24 Hours’, which aired its first episode on October 8th, is a variety program that reveals a 24-hour “survival experience” filmed at a designated location. Starring celebrities like Ji Suk Jin, Hwang Hyun Hee, Yang Se Hyung, Lee Kyun, Jung Juri, Han Young, this program features various missions to be completed in the wilderness; that is, a survival race to the top.
The production staff carefully admitted, “He completely shattered our expectations of being picky like other old school idol stars and showed us that he was willing to work hard, even during the toughest missions. He wasn’t afraid to go beyond his image that he built all these years, and showed great determination in completing 24 hours of rigorous shooting in the wild. We are certain that we will succeed.”
Tony An then reciprocated the compliment with, “I have high expectations because this is my first time on a real variety program, especially when it’s being shot outdoors. I’ve actually been wanting to do something like this so I don’t mind it being rigorous. I think it will be fun. I want to show the real Tony An, whether I look stupid or cool. I want to create a new image.”
