H.O.T reunites as a full group after six years "We saw ourselves from 30 years ago"

Approaching their 30th debut anniversary, H.O.T returned to the stage together for the first time in six years at the ‘Hanteo Music Festival’ on the 22nd at Incheon Inspire Arena, delivering a headlining set that emphasized live band sound and tight choreography.

Rather than a pure nostalgia play, the performance highlighted precision and unity. The members curated the setlist themselves and augmented it with band arrangements to raise overall impact. Fans filled the venue with white light sticks and balloons, and the sing-along chants underscored how much the audience had missed the group.

Before H.O.T’s stage, Teen Topfromis_9, and tripleS each performed 30-minute sets. Members of tripleS stayed in the stands afterward to watch H.O.T, paying respect to their seniors.

In the interview, Lee Jae Won described the preparation and his emotions: "We practiced hard for months. It was so tough it felt like we were groaning, but I could feel H.O.T’s DNA waking up again. Right before the show, the anticipation was huge. Even our group rehearsal felt exciting." He added that the set featured around ten of the group’s biggest hits because "rehearsing with the band and tightening the moves took more time."

Recalling the most demanding number, Lee Jae Won pointed to ‘We Are The Future’: "There are lots of sit-down/stand-up sequences. Watching old videos, I thought, ‘Who are these people flying around?’ But standing with the members again, it felt like we were back 30 years ago. When I’m dancing on the far right, I can see everyone on the left—the tiny movements only I can see… it was really moving."

The set included classics such as ‘Warrior’s Descendant’‘Candy’‘We Are The Future’‘Line Up!’‘Happiness’, and ‘Light’, with the members’ voices and synchronized moves locking back into place. New material also appeared at the festival, including Lee Jae Won’s ‘Call Me Right Now’ and Jang Woo Hyuk’s ‘Nothing ★ To Lose’.

Reflecting on time and teamwork, Lee Jae Won said, "We’ve changed a little, but our vibe is the same. After doing this, it feels like there aren’t any big issues. I think we can go another ten years." He also mused, "Back then we practiced by shuttling around videotapes. If we’d lived in a time when you could pull up YouTube instantly, maybe we would’ve been even better. Our 30th is next year—we want to prepare a lot and do it without regrets."

Getting to a full-group stage took time and care. "The process wasn’t easy,Lee Jae Won acknowledged, "but we’re happy we could keep our promise to fans. For the 30th, we’d like to do a world tour if possible. Nothing’s set yet, but it would be great to perform in places like Greater China or North America."

He closed with a message to fans: "We were so excited to meet you again after so long. We want to give those who haven’t forgotten us another page of good memories.H.O.T’s festival performances continue on the 23rd, with stages that day by 2AMOH MY GIRL, and Solar of MAMAMOO.

Moon Hee Jun reveals painful family history on 'Table for 4' “My father left when I was 19 and didn’t even attend my mother’s funeral”

Singer Moon Hee Jun, a former member of the first-generation K-pop group H.O.T, opened up about his estranged relationship with his father during a candid appearance on Channel A’s 'Table for 4,' aired on July 28.

Recalling a difficult chapter of his life, Moon shared, “About a month after I debuted, my father left home. He told me, ‘Now that you’re financially capable, I’m leaving,’ and he actually did.” At the time, Moon said he tried to understand the situation, believing there might have been private circumstances between his parents.

However, becoming a father himself drastically changed his perspective. “After I got married and had a child, I started to understand him even less. The more I thought about it, the angrier I became. I was struggling so much back then,” he said.

Moon, who effectively became the head of the household at 19, spoke with visible pain as he recounted a more recent disappointment. “My mother passed away a few years ago. I personally informed my father of her passing, but he didn’t come to the funeral. I try to be a good dad myself. I may not be perfect, but I want to be a father who’s present.”

He continued, “At this point, I don’t even want to hear his side of the story. I’ve already been shocked twice. He could’ve at least come to see his children. Instead of spending time trying to understand him, I think it’s better to focus on what I can do with my own kids.”

Moon also touched on the financial hardships he endured early in his career. “When I debuted, our family was already in debt. We lived in a house without a bathroom. That’s why now, I made sure there’s a bathroom in my daughter Heeyul’s room. I want to be a better father for her.”

H.O.T. to reunite as full group after 6 years

Legendary first-generation K-pop group H.O.T. is reuniting as a full group for the first time in six years

According to an exclusive report, H.O.T. will perform at the upcoming Hanteo Music Festival on September 6 and 7 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The festival previously teased a major headliner, stating that a “representative legend of Korean music” would take the stage in what promises to be a landmark project in K-pop history. That artist has now been revealed to be H.O.T.

Debuting in 1996, H.O.T. rose to iconic status with countless hit songs such as Candy, Warrior’s Descendant, Light, Happiness, Wolf and Sheep, We Are the Future, Line Up, and Child. The group paved the way for future K-pop idols, setting records for popularity, album sales, and fandom culture.

After officially disbanding in 2001, the members reunited in 2018 through the MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge', followed by solo concerts at Seoul Olympic Stadium and Gocheok Sky Dome in 2018 and 2019. However, the group has not performed together since—until now.

With their upcoming performance at the Hanteo Music Festival, fans will finally get to see H.O.T. as a complete group once again, marking a long-awaited reunion six years in the making. Expectations are high for the group to deliver the same electrifying stage presence and unforgettable energy they are known for.

Members of H.O.T. have frequently expressed their desire to reunite on stage. Last year, Lee Jaewon shared in an interview, “We’re always thinking about performing together again. The possibility of reuniting is open. All the members share the same love for our fans. When the timing aligns, I truly believe we’ll be back on stage.”

Jang Woo Hyuk also hinted at a future reunion on Season 3 of MBN’s variety show 'Let’s Go', saying, “We’ve been discussing it. I think something really good will happen next year.

Now, that “really good thing” has come to life—H.O.T.’s full-group stage is officially happening, and fans couldn’t be more excited.

H.O.T Denies Rumors of an Upcoming Reunion Concert

H.O.T Denies Rumors of an Upcoming Reunion Concert
Unfortunately for H.O.T fans, recent rumors of a reunion concert have been dismissed as “groundless.”
On April 25, the members themselves reported to Star News, stating, “The news that we will be having a reunion concert in September is untrue. Holding a concert, even in terms of time, is impossible.”
The rumors come after the members of H.O.T were seen having dinner with SM Entertainment’s representative producer and former CEO, Lee Soo Man. However, immediately after that, H.O.T stated, “There was only ordinary conversation in a comfortable atmosphere between them. There was absolutely no discussion on the possibility of a reunion at that meeting.”
Member Moon Hee Jun later addressed the rumors on his radio show “Jung Jae Hyung and Moon Hee Jun’s Enjoyable Life.” Moon Hee Jun said, “We’re making an effort [to have a reunion concert], but nothing has been decided on yet. I ask that reporters refrain from speculative articles.”
What are your thoughts on the rumors?

All 5 H.O.T members to reunite for a special concert in September

First Sechskies, and now H.O.T!

According to Xports News, the legendary 90s group will be reuniting for a 20th anniversary concert in September. The H.O.T members will all be coming together for the concert. It's been 15 years since the last concert the members had together in 2001, and they'll be back again in the same arena that they were in for their last concert.

Understandably, fans are still cautious about the news as SM Entertainment has yet to confirm the announcement, but this is still great news indeed for fans!

H.O.T and Sechskies respond to resurgence of comeback rumors

Rumors of a Sechskies and H.O.T reunion and comeback have come up once again, even though reps have previously stated that nothing has been confirmed.

Regarding the new round of gossip about their comeback, leader Eun Ji Won stepped up as his agency rep stated on December 24, "Regarding Sechskies' comeback, they are willing to do it whenever the opportunity arises.  However, up to this point, there are absolutely no plans regarding when they will do this or the album preparation.  We think talks of a reunion like that come up because the members meet one another once in a while.  The members do see one another as friends, but this does not mean that talk of a reunion and comeback has come up."

A rep of the group also stated, "It seems like the members do want to make a comeback. We're open to the possibility, but we don't care [which group] leads this and first drops an album or performs."

H.O.T seemed to be in agreement as their rep stated, "Articles do often come out [about this], but we don't have anything in detail, nor do we have plans, so we have nothing to say.  There is talk about a reunion for the twentieth anniversary.  However, there has been no concrete back and forth [about this]."
